Commence the safari journey to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya’s finest wildlife haven.
The Nairobi -Maasai Mara drive is via the panoramic Great Rift Valley with views of subsistence farmlands and local community settlements
Along the safari route – there shall be stops to view interesting attractions including the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
At the rift valley escarpment – you shall descend to the floors of the rift Valley for a further drive through Masai country as we progress to the Mara
Arrival at the Masai Mara shall be in time for lunch. Later proceed for an afternoon game-viewing drive.
Meal Plan: Your meals will include lunch and dinner.
DAY 2: FULL DAY – MASAI MARA
We shall rise early to witness the profusion of wildlife that graces the park, reputedly the most concentrated in the entire region. The day ahead promises a series of boundless game drives across the gilded landscapes and past the iconic acacia trees that adorn these vast plains.
Keep your senses heightened for Africa’s renowned Big Five – the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. The avian diversity is equally lavish, and if you find yourself here during the period of the Great Migration (July – October), prepare yourself for an awe-inspiring spectacle as the largest animal migration on Earth unfolds before your eyes.
Predominantly composed of wildebeest and zebra, these migrating creatures surge into the park in their thousands at the Mara River, a location shared with lounging hippos and lurking crocodiles. The potential for dramatic encounters is undeniable as these streaming herds venture into these territories in search of fresh pastures, while the predators bide their time.
To amplify the richness of your Masai Mara encounter, you have the option to immerse yourself in a visit to one of the local villages. There, you will be introduced to the Maasai community, affording you an intimate glimpse into their way of life.
Furthermore, you can opt for an early morning hot air balloon voyage above the reserve. Witness the park below as it awakens, with the fields coming to life in a blaze of colors and the wildlife commencing a new day on the sprawling savannah. An extraordinary encounter – feel free to discuss arranging either or both of these experiences with your knowledgeable driver/guide.
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
DAY 3: MASAI MARA – NAIROBI (265 kms – 5 hrs)
Our last safari day – let’s make the most of it with an early rise and game drive. By now you should be checking off your list of animal sightings but there’s always time for more.
You’re sure to have seen zebra and gazelle but keep an eye out for cheetahs moving through the bush, plus jackals and hyenas.
We’ll enjoy one last game drive as we exit the park on our way back to Nairobi.
A stop for lunch will break up the drive back to town.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the common questions which our clients ask as they plan for their African safari.
Do i need visa/passport?
Yes! To visit Kenya you will definitely require a passport and a visa. Your passport should have at least 2 blank pages and should be valid for a minimum of 6 months past your arrival date. This is to ensure that its validity does not expire before your safari is over.
There are 3 ways to obtain a tourist visa to Kenya;
- Visit a Kenyan embassy and apply
- On entry to Kenya you can apply for a landing visa. For a landing visa, you need to present your passport. A visa application form and a landing cad will be provided for you to fill out. You will then be required to pay the visa fee in US dollars, which is 50 USD.
- For a Visa to Kenya you can apply only by visiting http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html
Can my children accompany me during the safaris?
Of course! The most beautiful African safari experiences are had as a family. Your children will enjoy seeing the many animals they only read about in books or watch in the movies.
It will be a memorable experience for them. However, it would help if you continually keep your children in sight, especially when in the bush or in a camping site or lodge. Some camps and lodges are not fenced and wild animals roam around freely. Safari guides, however, are always on the lookout to keep you and your children safe.
Kindly let us know during booking if your children will accompany you so that we can make prior arrangements to make their stay comfortable.
What do you mean by unlimited game drives?
A safari is all about freedom and flexibility in exploring the wild. This is what we give our guests. We give you freedom to exclusive wildlife viewing with no restriction on fuel and mileage.
As long as you are within the designated game drive area and the park’s operational hours you can drive for as long as you want. The game drive area also has to be in accordance to your itinerary. For example, if your itinerary reads ‘explore Maasai Mara National Park’, you can drive within Maasai Mara all day but at no one point can you cross over the Mara River into The Serengeti.
Are there bathrooms in the bush?
Your bathroom needs will catered for throughout the safari. There are several public bathroom facilities around picnic sites, camps, lodges ranger stations, visitor centers and museums.
This being a private safari there might not be any public bathroom facilities in sight. However, you will be given an opportunity to use bush bathrooms when no vehicle can be spotted nearby.
The big safari vehicle will keep you hidden as you go about your business. Bush bathrooms are convenient and you will adapt to them.
What kind of clothing should i bring with me?
For comfort throughout the safari, bring with you light casual clothes. Avoid extreme colors; not too dark (black and dark blue are a no) and not too bright. Try neutral colors.
Safari clothing tips
- Avoid dark colors like black and dark blue. Recommended safari colors are brown, green, khaki, olive and beige.
- Lightweight jacket or windbreaker
- Casual, loose-fitting clothes
- Comfortable walking shoes (i.e. Sneakers, hiking shoes)
- Sandals or flip-flops
- Swimsuit
- Hat
- Extra cotton socks and underwear
- One warm sweater
