Safari Itinerary

Day1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park (240 km: Approx. 4 hrs drive)

At 07:30 AM, your experienced driver and guide will warmly greet you at your accommodations in Nairobi, whether it’s your hotel, residence, or even the Nairobi airport. Prepare for an adventure as you step into the comfortable 4×4 vehicle, marking the commencement of your expedition towards Amboseli Park along the scenic Nairobi-Mombasa Road.

Even prior to your arrival at Amboseli, your attention will be captivated by the unmistakable summit of Kilimanjaro, serving as a magnetic beacon guiding you towards the park. Upon reaching our destination, a satisfying lunch awaits you at your chosen lodge or tented camp.

After replenishing our energies, we’ll set out on our inaugural game drive, embarking on a quest to spot an array of remarkable creatures including elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, ostriches, and a multitude of others.

Amboseli has earned its reputation as a park where wildlife sightings are both abundant and effortless. The open landscape, free from dense foliage, aids both safari enthusiasts and their skilled guides in swiftly locating the park’s diverse and plentiful animals.

For avid photographers, this reserve is a veritable paradise, its scenic vistas framed by the snow-cloaked slopes and pinnacle of Kilimanjaro. As the day progresses into the evening, and sometimes in the early morning, the daytime clouds that sometimes veil the tallest peak dissolve, revealing the iconic summit of the mountain. Those fortunate enough to witness this spectacle are treated to a truly awe-inspiring view of the majestic summit.

Day 2: Amboseli – Nairobi

We’ll be up at the safari dawn to catch the wildlife as if first enters the new day. This pre-breakfast game drive is a special time to take in the park as the first light brings color to the savannah and its stirring inhabitants.

After breakfast at our accommodation, we’ll set out for a mid-morning drive to see how many more of the large and small wildlife we can track. If you haven’t spotted them already look for hyena, jackal, fox, monkey, and baboon. And of course, the big game, with whom they share this wonderous place of nature.

Lunch will wrap up our Amboseli experience before we head back to Nairobi.

You’ve experienced a lot of Africa in just two days with plenty of memories and stories to bring back home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the common questions which our clients ask as they plan for their African safari.

Do i need visa/passport?

Yes! To visit Kenya you will definitely require a passport and a visa. Your passport should have at least 2 blank pages and should be valid for a minimum of 6 months past your arrival date. This is to ensure that its validity does not expire before your safari is over.

There are 3 ways to obtain a tourist visa to Kenya;

  1. Visit a Kenyan embassy and apply
  2. On entry to Kenya you can apply for a landing visa. For a landing visa, you need to present your passport. A visa application form and a landing cad will be provided for you to fill out. You will then be required to pay the visa fee in US dollars, which is 50 USD.
  3. For a Visa to Kenya you can apply only by visiting http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html
Can my children accompany me during the safaris?

Of course! The most beautiful African safari experiences are had as a family. Your children will enjoy seeing the many animals they only read about in books or watch in the movies.

It will be a memorable experience for them. However, it would help if you continually keep your children in sight, especially when in the bush or in a camping site or lodge. Some camps and lodges are not fenced and wild animals roam around freely. Safari guides, however, are always on the lookout to keep you and your children safe.

Kindly let us know during booking if your children will accompany you so that we can make prior arrangements to make their stay comfortable.

What do you mean by unlimited game drives?

A safari is all about freedom and flexibility in exploring the wild. This is what we give our guests. We give you freedom to exclusive wildlife viewing with no restriction on fuel and mileage.

As long as you are within the designated game drive area and the park’s operational hours you can drive for as long as you want. The game drive area also has to be in accordance to your itinerary. For example, if your itinerary reads ‘explore Maasai Mara National Park’, you can drive within Maasai Mara all day but at no one point can you cross over the Mara River into The Serengeti.

Are there bathrooms in the bush?

Your bathroom needs will catered for throughout the safari. There are several public bathroom facilities around picnic sites, camps, lodges ranger stations, visitor centers and museums.

This being a private safari there might not be any public bathroom facilities in sight. However, you will be given an opportunity to use bush bathrooms when no vehicle can be spotted nearby.

The big safari vehicle will keep you hidden as you go about your business. Bush bathrooms are convenient and you will adapt to them.

What kind of clothing should i bring with me?

For comfort throughout the safari, bring with you light casual clothes. Avoid extreme colors; not too dark (black and dark blue are a no) and not too bright. Try neutral colors.

Safari clothing tips

  • Avoid dark colors like black and dark blue. Recommended safari colors are brown, green, khaki, olive and beige.
  • Lightweight jacket or windbreaker
  • Casual, loose-fitting clothes
  • Comfortable walking shoes (i.e. Sneakers, hiking shoes)
  • Sandals or flip-flops
  • Swimsuit
  • Hat
  • Extra cotton socks and underwear
  • One warm sweater
